‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Trailer Promises Explosive Scenes; Director George Miller Feels Lucky To Work With Wonderful Actors

The "Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday and the reboot promises to meet the fans expectations, as director George Miller said he's very lucky to have worked with Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy.

The "Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer began with Tom Hardy's character, Max Rockatansky, introducing himself, "My name is Max. My world is fire and blood." Then it's all chaos from there.

The post-apocalyptic movie is the reboot of the 1979 classic action film that propelled Mel Gibson to stardom. The synopsis for the new movie is quite simple: amid the wasteland, there are two individuals who might be able to restore order-Max and Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron.

Both Max and Furiosa are troubled characters and their pursuit for redemption might change the landscape of the wastelands.

Director George Miller told IndieWire back in 2011 that Tom Hardy is "a rebooted Mad Max, but it's a new interpretation."

"We made it very clear from the outset that it would be crazy to try to impersonate what Mel Gibson had done, but Tom [like] Mel and Heath Ledger; these guys all have very similar kind of maleness, I find," he said.

The "Mad Max: Fury Road" trailer revealed a linear pattern, which was what the director originally wanted for the film, about a chase that begins at the start of the movie and continues on for the nearly two-hour of running time, while introducing the characters along the way.

And the director was happy with the outcome, telling fans at the Comic-Con that, "I was able to make the movie I wanted to make."

"We boarded whole thing like a comic book, with 3,500 panels," he said, according to MailOnline. "There aren't many words, people only speak when they have to and I wanted to tell the story in pictures."
