"Scandal" season 4 spoilers won't be very good to Columbus Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the series despite his ambiguous exit. Meanwhile, commedian host Ellen Degeneres boasted about wife's Portia de Rossi's addition to the cast.

How things have ended for Harrison Wright was a major cliffhanger for last season as his death in the hands of Rowan Pope was not really addressed on screen. The ambiguous exit left fans to speculate that his return is possible but that seems to be not the case.

The E! News dished out "Scandal" season 4 spoilers when executive producer Beetsy Beers spoke about Columbus Short's exit. The news site also revealed that when the show returns, Harrison Wright "will be long gone."

Besty Beers told the website: "I think the key with every character's exit on all of our shows is the writers try to find the most appropriate and interesting and phenomenal way of exiting the character."

"I think, as a fan, they found an amazing explosive and dramatic way for him to exit," she added.

Shonda Rhimes revealed "Scandal" season 4 spoiles to TVLine when she was asked if they would add another series regular to replace Harrison (Columbus Short).

"Not yet.... I have no plans to do so, yet. When we left [off in the Season 3 finale], were there any gladiators?" she said.

The premiere, which airs on September 25, will resume about two-and-a-half months later from the season 3 finale and begin with Fitz's second inauguration.

Columbus Short, who was booted out of the series for the ruckus at a restaurant where he threatened a man and his wife, told TMZ that he has no plans of coming back.

"They fired me by sending me a snap chat message. It was fast and it came quick. I almost missed the message because it came so quick," he said, adding that he will just concentrate on developing stand-up comedy act, along with other projects instead of coming back to "Scandal" season 4.

Meanwhile, Ellen Degerenes tweeted the "Scandal" season 4 spoilers: "So annoying when people brag on twitter & that's why I'm not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on 'Scandal'. Oops."

The Entertainment Weekly then confirmed that Ellen Degeneres' wife will join the cast of "Scandal" season 4 on a recurring role.
