Boy band BTS will release their first full album on August 20 and return to the K-Pop scene.

BTS made official their comeback date by posting a countdown clock on their webpage. The countdown is for August 6, when the first teaser content will be revealed.

The new album, set to release on August 20, will be BTS' first album in a year and two months after debut.

Big Hit Entertainment stated: "BTS is returning after six months. We've been pouring all our energy into the album, since this is BTS' first full album. We will establish BTS as a hip-hop group in the K-Pop market."

Meanwhile, BTS debuted in the June of 2013 and swept six rookie awards in Korea and abroad. Their Japanese album released in June and July also recorded good scores on Oricon charts.
