Kate Upton boyfriend Justin Verlander recently received an appeal from his girlfriend to adopt a baby. However, before fans speculate that the two will soon settle down, the Sports Illustrated model is actually asking her beau's permission to have a puppy.

To convince him, the 'Other Woman' actress took a photo of her holding a dog with the caption: "Pleaseeeee @justinverlander."

Kate Upton boyfriend Justin Verlander then posted a photo of his own pet on Instagram with the caption: "@kateupton If anyone objects raise your hand! #RileyObjects #jealous #RileyWins."

The 31-year-old athlete appears to have a penchant for dogs because when he was in college, he adopted a dog with his then girlfriend, Emily Yuen, as per E! News.

"We went to the SPCA, and he kept licking our faces. We've been building a bond with this dog. He's been around since day one. He's experienced everything with me," said Kate Upton's boyfriend Justin Verlander to Richmond Magazine in 2008.

Kate Upton and Justin Verlander recently had a tropical getaway in Cancun, Mexico. The 22-year-old model was clad in a bikini which flaunted her assets whereas her Detroits Tiger player beau donned a pair of red shorts.

Recently, Upton has been dubbed as the "prettiest girl in the world" by Elle magazine which she graced for its September 2014 issue. Instead of wearing her signature swimwear, it was a fresh look for Upton who covered up her body in different ensembles.

In her interview with the magazine, she opened up about her insecurities and how she dealt with the pressures of the modeling industry: "Agents have put me under pressure to lose weight in the past. I would go on set and clients loved me. And then I would go into an agency and feel like crap about myself. They would say: 'Just lose five more [pounds]!' But I couldn't give a crap. I still don't."
