What are you doing, Liam Payne? The One Direction singer was spotted on a yacht in St. Tropez, spending some quality time with girlfriend Sophia Smith and friends. But Liam Payne was sporting a couple extra pounds while he smoked cigarettes, threw back some beers, and tossed food items into the beautiful ocean around him. While we're glad Liam Payne is taking some time off from the One Direction tour, he needs to get himself together!

Liam Payne was photographed enjoying a break from One Direction with his girlfriend Sophia Smith and a couple of friends, including Andy Samuels. They lounged on a beautiful yacht in the sunshine of St. Tropez - but the media was quick to spot Liam was looking a little more built than usual.

The Daily Mail compared Liam's torso now to the chiseled abs he showed off in Australia back in October 2013.

We have a feeling we know why Liam has gained a few - the 20-year-old has been criticized for living the party life. He's been photographed at night clubs possibly more than any other One Direction singer. Even on the yacht, Liam was seen smoking and drinking beers. While we're glad he's on vacation and indulging in some relaxing activities, we hope Liam is taking care of himself and his health.

The young singer was also up to some strange antics on the yacht. Liam was seen throwing bananas, eggs, and yogurt into the ocean, laughing with his friends, Unreality TV reports. At one point it even looks like he wants to throw a crushed beer can into the beautiful waves of St. Tropez.

C'mon, Liam. Please take care of the ocean and the scenery around you. Just because you might be slightly intoxicated and are having fun with your friends, it doesn't mean you can forget about the beauty of the location around you.

Liam's girlfriend Sophia Smith did not look pleased. She crept out of the yacht, wrapped up in a large towel, and at one point seemed to glare at Liam's stomach.

According to Unreality TV, Directioners are taking to Twitter to defend Liam.

One fan wrote, "Who ever is calling @Real_Liam_Payne fat y'all need to step back chill out an look at yo selves for real shits not cool y'all #LiamIsNotFat"

Another added, "@Real_Liam_Payne Liam you're NOT fat so please PLEASE don't listen to the haters you're perfect just as you are."

One Twitter user wrote, "I'm not saying he's fat or anything, but I think Liam Payne should start exercising again and get his muscle back."

We would never call anyone fat, but we do think that Liam should concentrate on his health and stop polluting - respect the ocean, bro.
