2NE1 Arrives In Myanmar After Park Bom's First TV Appearance Since Drug Scandal

Despite the recent controversies, 2NE1's Park Bom will continue to promote alongside her band members outside of Korea.

As previously reported, Park Bom appeared alongside the other ladies of 2NE1 on the NHK music talk show program "Music Japan" on July 28. This was coming off of the group's Japanese leg of their "All or Nothing" world tour, which dazzled fans in Yokohama and Kobe.

"Bom looks uncomfortable doing cute things now," commented Bonzai Bamtaro on YouTube. "I hope she's OK and 2NE1 will be able to come back to us soon."

Recently, it was confirmed that Park Bom will take an "indefinite hiatus" from the Korean reality series "Roommate," and 2NE1 will focus on their promotions abroad for the time being.

On July 31, the ladies of 2NE1 arrived in Myanmar to hold their first concert in the state.

"Instead of running away in the airport, Park Bom bravely shows up walking like nothing happened," tweeted RaiHaaBJ on Twitter. "So much respect."

Despite Park Bom's controversies, ticket sales for the Myanmar concert have been overwhelming to manage in Yangon and Mandalay.

"There is a great demand for the tickets," said a rep for Living Sound Entertainment. "On the first day, a huge crowd was scrambling to buy the tickets so we had to stop selling the tickets and introduced a daily quota on tickets. Tickets are limited because of the limited space at the concert venue."

"Other international artists have performed in Myanmar, but 2NE1’s concert is the most expensive one," said a K-pop fan from Yankin Township.

"I think it’s because the organizers want to cover the expense of inviting the most popular group. Since ticket prices vary, we can choose the category we can afford. Many people are willing to pay for the most expensive tickets. Compared to those in other countries, the tickets here are quite expensive."
