Caroline Wozniacki Registers For New York Marathon To Run From Rory McIlroy Break Up Memories, Joins Boston Marathon Winner Meb Keflezighi For Good Cause

Caroline Wozniacki will run for New York Marathon in November instead of sitting at home and crying about the called-off wedding to Rory McIlroy. But Rory McIlroy break up isn’t the only reason why Caroline Wozniacki is running the New York Marathon. She is running with the Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi to raise money for ‘Team For Kids’. Also, if she completes the race, she will become of the few professional athletes, who has run the New York Marathon at their professional peak.

Rory McIlroy, the 25-year-old winner of the Open Championships, broke off his engagement to Danish tennis player this past May after the November wedding invitations were sent out. He said that he wasn’t ready to get married and publicly apologized to Caroline Wozniacki for his wishy-washiness.

So to really put this break up memory behind her, Caroline Wozniacki has signed up to run the 2014 New York City Marathon. She will join the 2014 Boston Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi to raise money for ‘Team For Kids’, organization that encourage active lifestyle.

According to USA Today Sports, Lance Armstrong and Andy Murray’s coach Amelie Mauresmo have run the marathon, but after their retirement from sport.
