Red Velvet's Music Video Has Many Controversies

SM Entertainment's new girl group Red Velvet - comprised of members Seulgi, Irene, Wendy, and Joy - has released their debut music video for "Happiness." News media Kotaku published a report regarding the images used in their music video.

In their music video, the images feature a newspaper that has the words "Japs Hit By Atomic Bomb Equal To 20,000 Tons," "Nips," "Atom Bomb," and "Bomb Blasts Hiroshima," according to Kotaku.

With the political relationship between Japan and South Korea on thin ice for a long time now, this is definitely upsetting to the Japanese. There have been some netizens commenting on the music video. One commenter on 2ch, Japan's largest internet forum, wrote, "This is so anti-Japanese, I actually laughed." Another commented, "Whatever, both the song and the video are no good."

SM Entertainment has revealed that they are going to edit the images and did not know regarding the collage having controversial images. Currently, Red Velvet's single has received over half a million views on YouTube. With the numerous views, there are also many dislikes; which is 15,000, according to Kotaku.

Thirteen K-pop Videos That Has Phenomenal Choreography

News media Fuse listed the thirteen best K-pop music videos for great choreography.  

1) EXO; "Growl"

Number one goes to EXO and their great choreography for their single titled, "Growl". EXO filmed their music video in one take and were able to perform in sync. This just proves that the guys are truly talented.

2) 2PM; "Again & Again"

Number two goes to the muscled male group of 2PM. Their single titled, "Again & Again" has a great choreography as they do backflips at the end of their music video.

3) Crayon Pop; "Uh-ee"

The ladies of Crayon Pop is number three as they danced with lots of energy for their single titled, "Uh-ee". Crayon Pop knows how to keep the audience entertained get them to start dancing along with the girls.

4) Taeyang; "Ringa Linga"

Big Bang's Taeyang and his single titled, "Ringa Linga" is number four. On the music video, Taeyang and his three back up dancers wiggle, pump, and jump; which gets people to imitate what they do.

5) After School; "First Love"

The beautiful ladies of After School is number five because of their sexy pole dancing choreography for "First Love". On their music video, the ladies does a lot of sliding, climbing, and twirling on the pole; which showed how much practice they did.

6) SHINee; "Everybody"

SHINee and their human helicopter is definitely one that is a great choreography. With the high energy from the members from beginning until end, SHINee will get you to get up and dance. They are placed number six.

7) Kahi; "It's Me"

Former After School member Kahi is number seven as she dances sexy for her 2013 music video "It's Me".

8) BEAST; "Fiction"

BEAST and their foot shuffling for music video "Fiction" is number eight. The move is simple but effective because people can learn it quickly.

9) KARA; "Mister"

KARA and their butt shaking for "Mister" is number nine. The move is catchy and sexy; which will get you to also shake your behind.

10) INFINITE; "BTD"

INFINITE and their scorpion dance for "BTD" is number ten. During the 2:30 mark of their music video, the guys go from lying on the ground to kicking their legs and forming a circle at the same time; which is really impressive to watch.

11) T-ara; "Sexy Love"

T-ara and their choreography for "Sexy Love" is creepy and great because they are able to act like living dolls and move their arms like a robot; which is why they are number eleven.

12) SISTAR19; "Gone Not Around Any Longer"

SISTAR's sub-unit SISTAR19 who are comprised of Bora and Hyolyn has a sexy choreography for their "Gone Not Around Any Longer" music video. SISTAR19 are placed number twelve.

13) TVXQ; "Catch Me"

Lastly, TVXQ and their gravity-defying choreography on their music video "Catch Me" puts the guys at number thirteen. On 3:25 of their music video, Changmin looks to have Hulk-like muscles because the troupe connects arms.
