YG Entertainment reported that 2NE1 Minzy's grandmother has unfortunately passed away on the 9th. Minzy has just recently made a comeback with 2NE1 on the 8th with their new single.
A representative of YG Entertainment stated, "Minzy is shocked upon hearing the unfortunate news of her grandmother. She has currently left for Youngkwang to attend the wake with her family. We will arrange her schedule depending on the situation."
It is known that Minzy was very close and admired her grandmother very much. She became interested in the traditional Korean culture through her. Minzy wanted to make a song like "I Love You" with its unique choreography with the influence of traditional korean culture.
