Casey Kasem’s Widow Faces Legal Setback Against Her Lawyers; DJ Host’s Secret Funeral Looms

Casey Kasem's widow has suffered a legal setback when she was dumped by her lawyers for the second time. The DJ host's funeral still remains a mystery.

According to MailOnline, which obtained documents from the Superior Court in Pierce County, Washington, the law firm of Ryan, Swanson and Cleveland dropped Casey Kasem's widow, Jean, as its client.

The lawyers have been representing Casey Kasem's widow in the legal claim by his daughter, Kerri, to stop her from cremating the remains of the DJ host prior to an autopsy.

Last week, Haney & Young not only cut its ties with Casey Kaems's widow Jean Kasem but also sued her for unpaid bills. That law firm represented the widow in the legal fight to take Casey Kasem off life support while he was still in the hospital.

The CBS Los Angeles reported that Jean Casem owes Haney & Young around $50,000 in legal fees.

In an earlier report by TMZ, Casey Kasem's widow has been ignoring the calls of Haney & Young to settle her bill. But that's not the only debt she needs to settle as mounting fees against the Estate that she constantly ignores might reach half a million dollars.

Casey Kasem died June 16 at the age of 82 after he was taken off life support following a struggle with dementia and Lewy body disease.

According to the reports, the DJ host's secret funeral remains a mystery as his family and friends still have no clue where Jean brought his remains.

According to rbr.com, rumors about the DJ host's secret funeral came into light when Casey Kasem's widow was seen attending a funeral in L.A. a few days ago.

"It's believed it was moved from a funeral home in Washington to one in Montreal, Canada," MailOnline also said. "The Santa Monica police department is currently investigating claims of elder abuse against Casey in his final months."
