Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks are bombarded with engagement rumors but the "Marry Me" singer admitted that he and girlfriend Jordin Sparks are "opposites." How did Jason Derulo know that Jordin Sparks was "the One"?

E! News asked the "Talk Dirty" singer how he keeps the spark alive after dating girlfriend Jordin Sparks for three years.

"We just try to do different things," the 24-year-old singer revealed. "We both love food. We're opposites...so we bring different things to the table and that keeps things really and fun interesting because her interests are not necessarily my interests."

As we previously reported, Jason Derulo also said that he knew Jordin was "the One" when they first started in 2011.

"I knew that pretty early on. I felt that when I was in the hospital with my neck injury," Derulo said. According to E! News, Derulo has previously praised his girlfriend for being instrumental throughout his recovery after he broke his vertebrae in January 2012.

"I felt different...I felt like I needed her in my world."

Meanwhile, Jason and Jordin just celebrated their three-year anniversary on August 1!

Jordin Sparks posted a sweet Instagram photo of the gorgeous couple, with the caption: "Happy Anniversary, @jasonderulo!! Time is flying! It feels like yesterday I was at your rehearsal & something just 'clicked.' Best decision I've ever made was to spend time with you that day, 3 years ago.
