'No Man's Sky' Release Date, Gameplay, Trailer, News, And Updates: Sean Murray Of Hello Games Announces PC Version Will Be Available After Period Of PS4 Exclusivity No Word On Xbox Yet [VIDEO]

Hello Games has announced that a PC version of "No Man's Sky" will be released after the PS4 release date and period of exclusivity.

Sean Murray, the managing director at No Man's Sky studio Hello Games, revealed he has plans to ship a PC edition following the PS4 release. The timing for the PC version is unclear, while an Xbox One edition has yet to be mentioned at all.

In an interview with Edge, Murray clarified that, while console simplicity is a guiding principal for the development of No Man's Sky, this is not at the expense of a PC version.

"I actually got in a bit of trouble for saying that we wanted the game to feel really console-y," Murray said.

"We've always had PC in mind but in my head [console-y] means solid framerate and immediate controls. I think a PC game can be console-y and it's intended as a compliment, but I get in trouble for saying it."

"No Man's Sky" will be an entire galaxy that grows and changes and evolves based on algorithms, to create a near infinite numer of planets and stars to explore. There are no missions, no quests, the only idea is to get towards the center of the galaxy using "intelligence, imagination and co-operation".

Players are set free to explore space in search of new worlds. Stars and planets are created procedurally as they are discovered, with unique environments and complete ecosystems to match them.

It's a persistent online world, so once discovered, these locations become available to others. Players will be able to make "significant changes" to locations. All this means that once a world is discovered, anyone can go there, and once it is changed, it is chagned permanently.
