"Person of Interest" season 4 spoilers revealed a war between artificial intelligences as a new police captain and Fusco's new boss has been hired.

Showrunner Greg Plageman revealed "Person of Interest" season 4 spoilers to the panel at the Comic-Con in San Diego that this season is going to be a bloodbath.

"This season is about war. It's a battle between two artificial intelligences. The first three seasons of the show dealt with Orwellian surveillance systems, now it's a given," he said.

"The only thing that's different now is there's another machine in charge. And I think all of our guys find themselves severely challenged in terms of communicating and organizing," the showrunner added, per io9.com.

During the same panel, "Person of Interest" season 4 star Jim Caviezel said that they are now left alone to their own devices but his character Reece is not about to give up. He's still going to find ways to survive and fight the AIs.

He described Reece as somebody whose willing to sacrifice his soul by killing bad guys so that others won't have the burden of guilt by getting blood on their hands.

Meanwhile, TVLine dished out more "Person of Interest" season 4 spoilers when it reported that "Lie to Me" alum Monique Curnen has joined the cast as the new NYPD police captain.

Captain Felicia Moreno, who will become Fusco's boss at the 8th precinct, is described by TVLine as

"New York-born and whip-smart, and she will have her work cut out for her as the city's homicide rate rises."

Earlier Cara Buono was added to the cast to play a recurring character as a femme fatale, according to Deadline.

"Buono's character is said to be uniquely qualified to navigate next season's 'new world order,' in which Samaritan is online and all-seeing, forcing Reese, Finch and the rest of Team Machine to lay low using unimpeachable aliases," the description said.
