‘The Flash’ TV Series Spoilers: CGI And Practical Effects Join Forces? Multiplex, Girder Threaten Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen

"The Flash" TV series spoilers revealed the blend of CGI and old-school effects will be used by the producers in the show to bring the characters to life. Meanwhile, new villains Multiplex and Girder will threaten Grant Custin's Barry Allen.

Showrunner Greg Berlanti dished out "The Flash" TV series spoilers to Den of Geekwhen he said that the evil genius gorilla Grodd will be hinted "within the first seven episodes." But will the gorilla be computer-generated or a man in a costume?

"Our visual effects department and production department will kill me if I answer either way, because they both would want claims on how to do it," he said. "My sense is we're gonna do a lot of exploration this year in terms of the technology and what we can pull off."

Meanwhile, he revealed more "The Flash" TV series spoilers when he said that Danton Black will also be added to the cast of villains. Fans of DC comics already know of him as Multiplex, the assistant of Professor Martin Stein at the Hudson Nuclear Power Plant. Stein will become Firestorm after merging with student Ronnie Raymond.

"Since in the comics Multiplex was created in the same accident that creates Firestorm (and on the show, that STAR Labs particle accelerator accident is the source of many of the metahumans that will appear), it's safe to say he'll be able to produce his 'duploids,'" the Den of Geek said.

Meanwhile, TVLine has learned of more "The Flash" TV series spoilers with the addition of new character, Tony Woodward aka the villain Girder.

Tony Woodward, according to the website, is a rebellious steelworker who fell into a vat of molten metal contaminated with waste materials from S.T.A.R labs. He became the ironman Girder who can transform any of his body into pure steel but is, however, vulnerable to rust.

Casting call describes Tony Woodward as a bully who, after becoming Girder, becomes "a grinning lunkhead who loves destruction.
