Daniel Radcliffe and his girlfriend Erin Darke are "best friends," "The F Word" actor reveals. Daniel Radcliffe also hinted that his parents were best friends before they got married - is he thinking of proposing to his girlfriend Erin Darke sometime soon?

"I'm going out with my best friend at the moment. And that's, I think, the way it should be," Daniel Radcliffe, 25, told People magazine.

"My mom and dad were best friends before they started dating, and now they've been married for 30-something years," the former "Harry Potter" star added. "So, I think it is a very natural thing. If you can get to a point where you're dating or married to somebody you consider your best friend, that's what will make it work."

Sounds like Daniel is thinking long-term with his current girlfriend Erin Darke! He also suggested that dating your best friend comes with some risks.

"But love's pretty good," shrugs Radcliffe. "So it's worth the risk."

However, People magazine notes that Radcliffe and Darke became best friends only after they started dating, while his own parents knew each other well before their romance.

Ironically, recent break up rumors surfaced when Daniel didn't bring Erin to the Toronto premiere of "The F Word," though his co-star Zoe Kazan brought her boyfriend Paul Dano. However, after his recent comments about Erin, we can't imagine the two are on the rocks!

Look out for his upcoming movies "Horns" (where Daniel plays Ig Perrish, a man who sprouts hideous horns after the death of his girlfriend) and "Frankenstein" in 2015 (he'll play Igor).
