‘Winds Of Winter’ Release Means Tyrion’s Death? Author George R.R. Martin Gives Spoilers

"Winds of Winter" release means being closer to Tyrion's death? Author George R.R. Martin revealed some spoilers in a latest interview where he said that the smallest (literally) among the Lannisters is his favorite character.

"I love all my characters, of course, but Tyrion has always been a favorite," the author was quoted saying by HollywoodLife.

"He is the easiest to write ... The only thing that is hard is that it takes me days and sometimes weeks to come up with the one-liners that Tyrion comes up with in, like, a minute. I wish in real life I was nearly as acerbic and funny as Tyrion."

But will he die?

"Well, I did cut off his nose, so ..."

That's not really an answer, but George R.R. Martin was in a mood to be even more vague despite already dishing some spoilers.

"They say that you write what you want to read and you create in television what you want to watch. I love shows that are unpredictable. I like shows to be more real. Predictable shows and books bore me," author George R.R. Martin said. "I want to be on the edge of my seat. So, the deaths are important and at all times necessary."

Meanwhile, ahead of the "Winds of Winter" release date, George R.R. Martin told Zap2it that fans would meet the Martells of Dorne in season five of the "Game of Thrones," particularly the Sand Snakes. They are the daughters of Oberyn Martell who will likely seek revenge for the death of their father.

"I hope you like them, because you're also going to be seeing a lot of them in The Winds of Winter," George R.R. Martin said when he dished spoilers.

He also confirmed that he's begged off writing an episode for "Game of Thrones" because of the pressure of providing the "Winds of Winter" release date.

"As you may know, there's this book that people are getting kind of antsy about delivering. It takes me roughly a month to do an episode, so I decided... to skip this one this season and just concentrate on finishing the book," George R.R. Martin added.
