Beyonce MTV VMAs 2014: Beyoncé Will Perform at the MTV Video Music Awards; Beyonce Leads Nominations, Wins Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award

Beyonce MTV VMAs 2014: Beyoncé is the latest to join the lineup of performers for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.


MTV News was the first to report that Beyonce will get the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award and will perform at the Video Music Awards. will take the stage at the MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 24th  Artist who have been officially announced include Taylor Swift, Adam Levine's band Maroon 5 Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer. This will be Maroon 5's performance debut at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, airing live on Sunday, August 24. 


Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake have won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.


This year's MTV VMAs will be recorded at The Forum, in Inglewood, California, next month.This year's VMAs will also be the first major award show to take place at the  Forum. 


Beyoncé leads this year's nominees with eight nominations. Eminem and Iggy Azalea both pulled in seven apiece.
The Video of the Year award is being fought out between Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love," Azalea's "Fancy," Pharrell Williams' "Happy," Sia's "Chandelier" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball." Beyoncé has also been nominated for Best Female Video for "Partition." Beyonce and Jay Z are up for Best Collaboration for their song "Drunk in Love."


The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on MTV on Aug. 24 at 9 p.m. from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
