Girls' Generation is taking over Japan with their recent album "THE BEST."

Two renowned Japanese publications featured the success of "THE BEST" while large signs promoting the all-female idol group were spotted all over subway stations in nine cities around Tokyo.

Girls' Generation recently rewrote K-pop history in Japan by ranking No. 1 on the Oricon Japanese weekly album chart for two consecutive weeks after its album release.

The idol group had been spotted on the music chart after its debut before, but this is the first time Girls' Generation took the spot two weeks in a row. Girls' Generation is the first group to make this accomplishment since BoA back in 2004, according to the publication News Asia One.

In lieu of their success in Japan, the ninesome will be releasing a photo book titled "GIRLS' GENERATION in Las Vegas." The photos of the girls shopping and partying were taken in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to the news outlet Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

Although Girls' Generation always looks perfect for their performances and public appearances in their recent Japanese promotions, the members revealed back in 2011 that it takes a lot of work to look that good.

"We're dying in pain [because of our heels]! After a concert, our feet are literally burning," member Sooyoung told Complex magazine.

Yuri added, "We've been wearing heels for so long, we've gotten so used to them that we feel more comfortable wearing them when we're going up on stage. It straightens our postures; it makes us feel more confident. It's not comfortable, but we're so adjusted now that it feels weird without them."

The girls had begun gaining mainstream success in Japan with their Japanese debut several years ago. Despite their popularity, the girls revealed that they're still the same Girls' Generation from when they debuted.

"I wouldn't say we changed because of the success. But as a whole, since we went on tours, and done so many performances, I could humbly say our live performance game has gotten much better," stated Sooyoung.
