"NCIS" season 12 spoilers reveal new details on Tony DiNozzo's new love, who will be totally different from Ziva David. Meanwhile, Ducky's backstory will be explored with Adam Cambell.

Michael Auseillo revealed "NCIS" season 12 spoilers as he said that the new woman will enter DiNozzo's life through a case.

"As such his dynamic with her will be 'completely different' than what he shared with NCIS colleague Ziva David, show boss Gary Glasberg tells us," he said.

As Glasberg said, the difficult part of the whole process was to cast somebody that will spark chemistry with Michael Weatherly.

"But we're excited about the opportunity," Glasberg adds. "We'll give it a shot and see what we can do," the showrunner said.

Meanwhile, more "NCIS" season 12 spoilers were revealed by TVLine as the producers and writes of the show will try to explore Dr. Donald Mallard's backstory.

 "When we saw Adam, all we could think of was a young David McCallum. We can't wait to introduce him (Adam Campbell) as young Ducky and watch what he brings to this unusual role," Glasberg said.

Fans of the show would be delighted to know the origins of the bow tie and why Ducky is always seen wearing it.

While Cote de Pablo is not reprising her role as Ziva David anytime soon, the tweets of director Dennis Smith, who directed "Truth or Consequence," and writer Jesse Stern is fueling rumors of a return.

On August 3, Dennis Smith wrote on his Twitter: "Just talking about 'Truth or Consequences' with Mr.Weatherly and Mr. Stern the other night over a nice bottle of wine."

The Mr. Stern, Cartermatt explained, "is a reference to Jesse Stern, the former writer for this episode. Stern has gone on to write the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' games, and worked on a pilot briefly with fellow former 'NCIS' cohort / current 'NCIS: Los Angeles' showrunner Shane Brennan."

Fueling the fire is the fact that Stern wrote in his own Twitter account: "Hi #TivaCamp2014 been thinking a little bit about a follow up to Truth or Consequences lately. Think that'd be fun?"
