"Arrow" season 3 spoilers reveal a makeover for Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen, as the characters will all deal with an identity crisis.

"Suit upgrade is coming, there's going to be some new stuff added to the suit at some point this season," cast Stephen Amell told Zap2it when prodded for some "Arrow" season 3 spoilers.

Earlier, reports said that Charlotte Ross will be seen in the November episode as Felicity Smoak's mother. However, it's not clear yet if she will appear in the flashback episodes or the current timeline.

Matt Webb Mitovich wrote "Arrow" season 3 spoilers at TVLine that the fifth episode will provide a backstory for Felicity Smoak, which also includes her time at the MIT.

In the episode "City of Blood," Felicity Smoak shared something about her mother: "If I had accepted things, I would be a cocktail waitress in Vegas like my mother and I never would have gone to college and I never would have moved a thousand miles away to work at Queen Consolidated."

Showrunner Marc Guggenheim , meanwhile, offered some "Arrow" season 3 spoilers when he said that this year's team would be about identity.

He said Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen will be struggling with identity, particularly in juggling his real self and alter-ego.

"Every other character on the show is dealing with some question of identity. Who am I, what am I, what am I doing? Let me give you an example: Detective Lance who is now Captain Lance has basically taken a desk job and he is like 'If I can't be a cop the way I used to be a cop, what am I?' He is dealing with identity," he told TVOverMind.

Laurel will also be having an identity crisis when she tries to follow in the footsteps of her sister. Guggenheim added: "Is Thea Malcolm Merlyn's daughter or Moira Queen's daughter? Who is she? Diggle: 'am I a sidekick, am I my own man?' Felicity: 'do I have my own identity?'"
