Bob Weir and RatDog Cancel All Tour Dates to 2015; Former Grateful Dead Guitarist Said to Be Exhausted

Bob Weir and RatDog are one of the great jam bands but even jam bands get tired. Former Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir's team announced that will cancel all remaining tour dates including the Jamaica event scheduled for January, 2015. Full refunds will be offered.

There was no further information available on why the dates have been cancelled. Bob Weir and Ratdog has one show that remains scheduled, at this year's Lockn' Festival.

Bob Weir and RatDog posted the announcement to their Facebook page:

"Circumstances have necessitated that all scheduled tour dates for Bob Weir & RatDog are being cancelled. This applies to all dates on the summer tour starting on Thursday, August 14 in Boston through September 14 in Nashville and also includes the Jamaica event in January of 2015. Full and complete refunds are available at place of purchase. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Weir missed a RatDog show last month in Las Vegas. The show went on without him. Weir returned for a show the next night. In April 2013, Weir couldn't finish a Furthur show in Port Chester and he took a few months off from performing.

Billboard Boxscore reported that The Dead along with Allman Bros./Gov't Mule singer/guitarist Warren Haynes in the lineup staged a two-leg summer tour that played to over 400,000 fans across 34 shows that grossed $18.5 million.
