Pitbull is the first Latino to get a radio channel with Sirius XM. The show will debut in early 2015 and will air weekly.

According to a report on NBC News, the Latin Grammy winner's channel, like those of other music superstars of the same genre, will feature the rapper-musician's songs. The channel will also feature music of select artists by "Mr. 305."

Pitbull is the first Latino to have a full-time channel in Sirius XM even when the station offers 21 Spanish-language channels tailored toward the Hispanic listeners. Pitbull's real name is Armando Christian Perez, said Billboard.

Although details are still unclear and will most likely be available near the launch of the Pitbull channel, a report from MTv said that the artist is expected to showcase a bilingual selection of music.

The 33-year-old "Mr. Worldwide", as he calls himself, announced the news on his Twitter account on Sunday saying: "very excited to announce the creation of our own channel on @SIRIUSXM and @SiriusXM_Latino get ready #pitbullsxm coming soon".

Pitbull's very own channel on SiriusXM will allow him to interact with his fans in a more personal note and that he will "get a chance to play all the music I grew up listening to and most of all, we are going to have fun in the process, so preparense (get ready) y daleee (do it)."

SiriusXM, who has created channels for select artists including Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffest and Willie Nelson, recently fired a popular DJ and hired Steve Aoki.

Pitbull is known not only for his musical pursuits which include his 2009 hit "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and successful collaborations with pop superstars like Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez, but also for his entrepreneurial endeavors.

Pitbull, who had recently performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil alongside Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, is vying for a 2014 Mtv Video Music Award with KeSha for their collaboration on the song "Timber,"
