Legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will be honored in a night-long concert entitled "One More For The Fans! - Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd." Among the featured guests and performers, who are the band's friends, are Trace Adkins, Gregg Allman, Alabama, Peter Frampton and more.

Lynyrd Skynyrd will be honored in a tribute concert on November 12, according to Billboard.com

The Southern rock band, who is known for hits including "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama" will be treated to a night of celebration of their music with performances by Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Warren Hayes, Hohn Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Lewis, moe., Govt Mule, Robert Randolph, Blackberry Smoke, Cheap Trick and Donnie Van Zant, said a report on CBS News.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute concert will be held at the Fox Theatre, which played a rather special role in the musical journey of the band: the rock icons recorded a live album entitled "One More From The Road" at the venue in 1976. The concert was held as a sign of protest against plans of demolitioning the theater, according to a report in Radio.com.

Don Was, a well-known music producer, will serve as the event's musical director. Keith Wortman will serve as the concert's creator and executive producer and Ken Levitan and Ross Schilling will be the executive producers.

"Lynyrd Skynyrd's music has had a profound and unmistakable influence on artists and fans all over the world," said Was in a statement about the event.

"This incredible initial lineup of artists coming together to celebrate this band and their music is a genuine reflection of that. I am honored to produce a multi-media event of this magnitude," added Wortman.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is composed of Gary Rossington, Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Michael Cartellone, Mark Matejka, Peter Keys and Johnny Colt.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute concert will be recorded and filmed for release in different platforms, according to a press release.
