Taylor Swift revealed that she will be hosting a worldwide live stream event via Yahoo! On August 18, clearing up rumors surrounding a recently released a cryptic clip in Instagram and Twitter where the number "18" appears everywhere.

"Aug. 18 because on [the] 24th she is performing at the VMAs and there she [may] sing a new single," one fan speculated in the comments section of her page.

Taylor Swift recently revealed during a recent interview that she believes fans wouldn't listen to her songs if they weren't "heartbroken," bringing into question her own boyfriend and dating experiences and their inspirations for her lyrics.

"People wouldn't listen to my songs if they weren't heartbroken, or deeply affected and hurt, and jilted and sad and bitter and all those wonderful things that I write songs about," the "Red" album producer said, according to E! Online.

Taylor Swift recently gave one of her Instagram fans advice about dating and boyfriends.

"I think unrequited love is just as valid as any other kind," she wrote in a response to her fan on Instagram.

"It's just as crushing and just as thrilling. No matter what happens in this situation, I want you to remember that what you are doing is selfless and beautiful and kind. You are loving someone purely because you love them, not because you think you'll ever have your affections reciprocated. You are admiring something for its beauty, without needing to own it. Feel goodabout being the kind of person who loves selflessly. I think someday you'll find someone who loves you in that exact same way."

Would the "Red" album singer consider producing a new song about dating advice?

Taylor Swift and rumored boyfriend Ed Sheeran "couldn't agree on a chord" in their "Everything Has Changed" track, Sugar Scape reports.

"I went to her house, she cooked an apple pie... She did. She cooks really good sh*t man. And then she gets up, she has a little Taylor guitar, and she got it out and she's like, 'I've had this idea for this song and it goes...' (Ed does impression, humming the tune and singing the chorus)," Ed Sheeran said, according to the site.

"And it kind of had... She pretty much had the verse, bridge and chorus done but we argued about that one chord. She didn't like that and I kind of forced it upon her!"

"Red" album producer Taylor Swift was spotted on set with "The Giver" star Brenton Thwaites, leaving many of her fans wondering if she's planning to produce any of the film's soundtrack songs.
