JYJ Visits Hong Kong For The First Time In 4 Years And Is Welcomed By Local Fans

Idol group JYJ received a huge welcome from local fans in Hong Kong upon their highly anticipated arrival today.

The trio is currently in Hong Kong for their "2014 JYJ Asia Tour Concert - 'The Return of the King.'"

JYJ will be performing at the Hong Kong Asia World Expo Arena on August 16 and will be meeting with about 10,000 local fans. This is the first time the boys of JYJ visited Hong Kong since the showcase for their 2010 album, "THE BEGINNING."

JYJ will be visiting fans in major cities around Asia for their upcoming tour, which is rumored to be their last one until two of the members return from their mandatory military service in Korea.

"JYJ, who successfully started their Asia tour at Jamsil Stadium last week, will hold their Asia tour in a total of eight cities in Hong Kong on the 16th followed by Beijing, Vietnam, Chengdu, Taiwan, Shanghai and Thailand," stated an associate for their agency C-JeS Entertainment, according to the publication Allkpop.

The K-pop group's tour schedule is as follows:

8/16 (Sat) Hong Kong, Asia world expo arena

8/23 (Sat) Beijing, Capital Indoor Stadium

8/30 (Sat) Ho Chi Minh City, Quan khu 7 stadium

9/6 (Sat) Chengdu, Chengdu sports centre stadium

9/11 (Thur) Taiwan, Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, also known as TWTC Nangang or TaipeiEx

9/20 (Sat) Shanghai, Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena

9/25 (Thur) Bangkok, Challenger Hall 1, Muanthong Thani

JYJ's most recent album, "JUST US," has become a success across Asia. The group's comeback album peaked at No. 2 on the Oricon Weekly Chart even before the group made their official debut in Japan, according to Yahoo Entertainment Malaysia.

Despite the success of JYJ, it was only last year when the trio expressed their sadness about their last year as part of their former group TVXQ.

"We were so sorry toward our fans. We were even more sorry that we couldn't say outright that the five of us would not be together from now on. We walked among our fans, and tears continued to spill. I still can't forget that day," JYJ stated in a 2013 interview, according to MSN Entertainment XIN.
