CNBLUE Wows Over 20,000 K-Pop Fans at KCON 2014

Celebrity Hallyu rock band, CNBLUE rocked the stage and melted hearts at this year's KCON 2014.

K-Pop's CNBLUE made their third trip to Los Angelos, California this year to be apart of one of the largest K-Pop music festivals and conventions of the US, KCON produced by CJ E&M and Mnet America. This year the convention that strives to bring together fans of K-Pop and all things surrounding Korean culture, invited CNBLUE to be part of their stellar performance lineup to appear over the course of two days including G-Dragon, Girl's Generation, and more.

Arriving early Sunday morning, CNBLUE was greeted at LAX airport by their fans and various media outlets all eager to catch a glimpse of the handsome quartet before being whisked away by security. The band performed in Malaysia as part of their 'Can't Stop' Asia Tour just hours before having to endure an over twelve hour flight to the U.S. in order to appear at KCON for a few hours to then leave again right after the concert heading back Korea. Despite their hectic schedule, the band seemed to be in good spirits and happily greeted the crowds with bright smiles while arriving to the venue's red carpet ceremony.

Soon it was time to hit center stage and make the crowd roar. CNBLUE made their appearance on the stage and immediately began their performance with their latest hit, 'Can't Stop'. Lead singer Jung Yonghwa sat in front of his keyboard while belting out CNBLUE's signature emotional vocals joined by Lee Jonghyun on lead guitar, Lee Jungshin on bass and lastly Kang Minhyuk handsomely on drums. The second to last performers of the night, CNBLUE wowed even non fans with their unique stage presence and charismatic aura.

Their setlist consisted of the quartets' major hits such as 'I'm a Loner', 'Intuition', 'Love', and their U.S. Billboard hitting track of 2013, 'I'm Sorry'. The band shared unforgettable moments with their fans and made even more new ones judging by the sheer number of screaming fangirls and boys on that special night.

Although CNBLUE couldn't attend both days of the convention, their many fans made sure they were well represented despite their physical absence. CNBLUE USA, the band's unofficial U.S. fanbase sponsored a booth at the convention and made an impression on BOICE (CNBLUE Fans) and many K-Pop fans who weren't familiar with the band. The fan booth garnered much attention by Korean news crews covering the event and even appeared on Billboard's social media account shared by the world's premier music publication's music journalist Jeff Benjamin.

KCON's successful weekend's highlights as well as part of CNBLUE's energetic performance aired on Mnet M!Coundown on August 14th 2014. Meanwhile, CNBLUE continues their blaze around the world, appearing at Japan's A-Nation and then hitting the stage at this year's Summer Sonic within the next few days.

Currently, bassist Lee Jungshin is starring on SBS's 'Temptation'  while Jung Yonghwa will be starring on cable channel tvN's retelling of 'The Three Musketeers' which will consist of three seasons, with 12 episodes each beginning August 17, 2014.
