Evolve Xbox One Release Date Delayed To 2015 For ‘More Development Time’; Monster Expansion Pack And Exterminator Weapon Skin Pack To Be Given For Free For Those Who Will Pre-Order!

It has been confirmed that the Evolve Xbox One release date was moved to 2015 instead of its initial launch on October 21 this year. As per its distributor Take-Two, the game will be available on February 10, 2015 to pave way for further changes.

"We'll have a bit more development time which we think the title deserves," Take-Two Chairman and Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick told Wall Street Journal.

Experts believes that having a fall Evolve Xbox One release date will boost sales as this season coincides with Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays wherein consumers shop a lot. This coming fall, Assassin's Creed: Unity as well as Alien: Isolation will be released.

Take-Two has not offered details regarding the Evolve Xbox One release date change although executive producer Denby Grace summed up their reasons for the delay in an interview with Metro:

"It's purely looking at our own game. We'd be happy to go toe-to-toe with any other game out there, but for us we want the game to be as good as it can possibly be. We want to be as proud as we possibly can be about this game. So we just needed that extra couple of months to add that final polish," he said.

Evolve's gameplay will be comprised of five players. These five players involve four human hunters and one alien who eventually becomes a killing machine.

The four players must then cooperate in order to avoid being eaten by the monstrous creature in their team. Although Evolve focuses much on its multiplayer aspect, developer Turtle Rock teases that an individual experience might be in the works.

When first introduced at the E3 2014, the sci-fi game was well-received by critics that it took home four awards: Best of Show, Best Console Game, Best Action Game, and Best Online Multiplayer.

Meanwhile, Evolve Xbox One can now be pre-ordered on the game's official website. Those will order early will be gifted the Monster Expansion Pack for free.
