Ariana Grande Breaks Free of Sam & Cat Problem; Grande Will Hit MTV Music Awards With a `Bang Bang’ [VIDEO]

Ariana Grande is on her way to being the next pop sensation. Since the cancellation of "Sam & Cat" and the resulting Ariana Grande Jennette McCurdy feud, the singer hit the ground running and is just hitting her stride.

Grande's "Problem" was a mass radio hit and the video with Iggy Azalea mesmerized viewers with swirly hypnodisc dancing and "Break Free" is going the same way.

Grande will grace the covers of Seventeen magazine's September issue and Billboard's new issue.

Jennette McCurdy may be throwing shade on her Sam & Cat co-star with a new character in her "What's Next for Sarah?" web series, but Grande continues to shine.

Ariana will hit the MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday with a "Bang Bang," the hit she will perform with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj.

Access Hollywood asked about whether the "Bang Bang" music video will continue the science fiction fun of Grande's "Break Free" video. "It's going to be fun," Grande said. "It's definitely staying in the realm of the video."

Ariana Grande's new album "My Everything" drops on Aug. 25. Grande told Access Hollywood that she's glad it's finished.

"Well it, I mean, definitely a sigh of relief, more like a heart attack," Grande said. "Because it's overwhelming, it's very exciting, I'm very, very grateful - it's not what I expected."

"But I'm very excited. I'm very proud of the whole album and considering that these first singles aren't even my favorite from the album, it's even more exciting to me."
