Kim Hyun Joong Accused Of Assaulting Girlfriend On Multiple Occasions

In a shocking turn of events, Hallyu superstar and leader of SS501 Kim Hyun Joong has been accused of being violent towards his girlfriend. His girlfriend of two years filed charges against Kim Hyun Joong, with proof of multiple injuries between May and July.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency has not denied the claims, but has said that the two had a very volatile relationship, and there may have been infidelity involved. "The two had been a couple since 2012. Since last May, Kim has fought with his girlfriend over his women issues. During their fights, Kim used severe physical violence against her," a source close to the situation said.

Even though he is under investigation, Kim Hyun Joong has no plans to cancel an upcoming concert in Thailand.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Just as the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge took over the United States' entertainment media, Korean media was continuously reporting on celebrities taking the challenge and issuing it to new recipients. Several idols donated large amounts of money, even when some felt that the Ice Bucket Challenge wasn't as important as donating, and definitely helped to raise awareness for ALS.

Korean-American idols started the challenge among idols, issuing it to several of Korea's top stars and eventually it seemed like every single idol and Korean entertainer became involved in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

WINNER Wins 3 Award Shows

Rookie groups usually don't even win one award, let alone take home three wins on Korean music shows the very same week that they debut. YG Entertainment's latest boy band, WINNER, placed first on Inkigayo, Music Bank, and M! Countdown, beating out older idol groups including Block B, Secret, and SISTAR. The group also took over digital downloads, and made headlines internationally.
