Barclays Premier League: A four year contract for Loic Remy

It was officially announced that Loic Remy has signed up from Queens Park Rangers to Chelsea; with an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old France striker has signed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

"When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said, 'Let's go' straightaway, because they are one of the best clubs in the world," Remy told chelseafc.com. "I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseille and I can't wait to play for the first time in front of my new fans."

Remy shifted to the Barclays Premier League in January 2012, joining QPR from Marseille and struck six goals from 14 matches but was unable to prevent the side getting relegated. Previous season he went on loan to Newcastle United where he scored 14 league goals in 26 appearances.

He is Jose Mourinho's sixth signing of the summer after Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Mario Pasalic (Hajduk Split), Diego Costa, Filipe Luis (both from Atletico Madrid) and Didier Drogba (Galatasaray).
