Windows 9 Release Date: Prepare For The Triumphant Return Of The Start Menu, New Windows Version To Be Previewed By End Of September

Since Windows 8 was launched and tried by PC users, a lot of them may have already been thinking of the Windows 9 release date.

Microsoft had the right intention of promoting its mobile platform (Windows Phone) by creating a PC platform version that looks like it.

In its initial version, most of the features and functions which endeared the world to Windows were taken away, and that includes the Start button and Start menu.

While the Start button has now reappeared thanks to a recent update, a lot of users feel that there is simply no need for it without a Start menu.

And so, the upcoming Windows 9 preview at the end of the month is expected to highlight the return of the Start menu for the PC platform.

And it looks like one of the developers is too excited to wait for the Developer Preview. In a report by GSM Arena, a teaser for the Windows 9 release date was posted with a caption that translates "Guess what will appear in the lower left corner".

From our years of using the Microsoft-made platform, we know that the teaser is talking about the Start menu, and it looks like Microsoft has given up on the 'reinvention' goal and revert back to what has worked for decades.

In previous reports, the new Windows 9 may also include virtual assistant Cortana from Windows Phone 8.1, as well as a feature that would unite all three Microsoft platforms (Windows 9/Windows RT/Windows Phone).

After several minutes, the image was taken down which could mean that it just serves as an appetizer of things to come, or the user made the mistake of posting about it in the first place.

For now, we can just wait for the upcoming Developer Preview for the Windows 9 release date.
