Hunger Games Mockingjay Josh Hutcherson, Sam Claflin And Elizabeth Banks Reveal Goodbye Stories: Hunger Games 3 Hunk Turn To Wife Laura Haddock For Consolation?

All the ‘Hunger Games Mockingjay’ actors have all processed their sad feelings about the end of filming and are coming out with stories of their last days on the set. ‘Hunger Games 3’ hunk Sam Claflin, Josh Hutcherson and the effervescent Elizabeth Banks have the most amount of feeling about their goodbyes. At least Sam Claflin has his new wife Laura Haddock to turn for consolation.

It wasn’t Jennifer Lawrence that made Sam Claflin’s ‘Hunger Games Mockingjay’ goodbye extra sad. The 29-year-old charmer just married the lady of his dreams last July and told the magical tale to Yahoo News. What made the ‘Hunger Games 3’ goodbye extra sad was that he had to come back after he said all his farewells.

“It was bizarre,” Sam told MTV. “After I said the final goodbye, they go, oh actually we need you to come in tomorrow to fill in this pick up,” Claflin said. “So I saw everybody the next day, and then I sort of left, and kind of felt a little weird.

“I got out early and avoided the whole heartbreak. It’s really sad.”

At least he made good memories on set by taking the Ice Bucket Challenge with his co-star Josh Hutcherson.

"I miss it so much,” Josh told the press post Teen Choice Awards this year, “It pains me every day a little bit when I wake up, that we're not filming anymore.”

Even the wrap party sounds like a downer. "It was honestly hard to say it was a celebration because we were all so sad that it was coming to an end," added Hutcherson.

It looks like getting out earlier is the key for avoiding heart-wrenching goodbyes at ‘Hunger Games 3’ set.

But for Elizabeth Banks, who plays Effie in the movie franchise, leaving the set alone was the ultimate stab in the heart.

"It was a sad day and I wrapped on a day when no one else did," Elizabeth told ABC News. "It was really sort of lonely and depressing."

Wow, sounds like all these actors are having major ‘Hunger Games Mockingjay’ withdrawal symptoms. The studio should have hired a entertainment psychologist to help them cope.

“I think I’d said goodbye, and done all my goodbyes,” added Sam Claflin, “and I remember feeling a little sad and anxious, kind of going, I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself for the rest of my life, I’m never going to work again.”

Well good thing that Sam Claflin has a beautiful wife to go home to. Laura Haddock, who also acts, has her fair share of set goodbyes under her belt. Let’s hope that she can keep him up until the ‘Hunger Games’ crew gets together for the opening night party and the press tour!

‘Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1’ hits the cinemas on November 21, 2015.
