Watch out Neymar. There is a ‘New Neymar’ in town that may put you out of business. This ‘New Neymar’ is Gabriel Barbosa Almeida, known as just Gabriel like all the Brazilian soccer stars. He already has a nickname - Gabrigol. Yes, that’s because he puts the ball to the net as often as the real Neymar Jr. does. Watch the throne, Neymar.

Barcelona bought the preferential rights on the 18-year-old Brazilian soccer star-to-be. With that, Gabriel is following the footstep of Neymar when Barcelona bought Neymar’s first rights when he was looking to transfer out of Santos. Gabrigol doesn’t have the blond tips that the Brazilian soccer star sported during the FIFA World Cup this past summer, but he does have his own swagger that comes from having been chosen as Barcelona’s first pick.

He definitely has all the tattoos to make himself a legit soccer star!

Daily Mail reports that Gabriel “admits he has always 'dreamed of this (move to Barcelona) since I was little'”. The website also added that the New Neymar “has five goals and three assists in 14 appearances this season”.

Meanwhile, Neymar hasn’t been doing too shabby either. He has played crucial roles in all the friendly games and the few start-of-the-season games for Barcelona. But he has also received a little slap on the wrist for signing a fan’s boot during a game though, the club fining the superstar almost $8,000 for the act.

A little odd, but it will pass as a mere bleep in Neymar’s anticipated season with Barcelona.
