Cristiano Ronaldo Returning To Manchester United? Former Real Madrid President Ramón Calderón Says Ronaldo Is 'Fed Up' And 'Disillusioned' With Life At Real Madrid [PHOTO]

ESPNFC reports that Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United after becoming fed up with his life at Real Madrid. According to the Telegraph, Ronaldo is unhappy that many of his teammates have left in recent seasons, including Arjen Robben, Mesut Özil, Gonzalo Higuaín and Xabi Alonso and Di María.

Former Real Madrid president Ramón Calderón - the man who made Ronaldo the world's most expensive player - stated, "When he came [to Real Madrid] with [Arjen] Robben he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team. Two years ago, it was [Gonzalo] Higuaín that was sold, and he didn't like that... Last year, he thought it was a mistake to let Mesut Özil leave, and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and Angel Di María this summer," further explaining Ronaldo's disillusionment with the team.

Despite winning the Champions League with Ronaldo last season, Calderón thinks that the star player will likely return to Manchester United.  Calderón told ESPNFC, "When I signed him in 2009, I remember he said he was grateful to Manchester United...He had a marvelous time there, he likes everything. It is a really great club...my impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president [of Real Madrid.]"

Ronaldo recently even mentioned returning to United. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez seems to think he and Ronaldo are doing just fine. In a news conference, he said, "I know him well. He didn't want to be inconsiderate towards the new players. In addition, he likes them. I have no discrepancies with him," seeming to resolve the situation.

Later, Ronaldo apologized on Twitter for any misconceptions the public may have had about his frustration. He wrote, "My comments were misunderstood. I heard what the President had to say, and I'm with him 100%."

However, Manchester United isn't giving up on the possibility of re-signing Ronaldo. Telegraph reports that should Ronaldo become available, the United board will use all their power to get him back on their team.
