Nicki Minaj Wig Victory: 'Pills And Potions' Rapper Wins $30 Million Lawsuit Filed By Former Hairstylist

It looks like Nicki Minaj can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The rapper just emerged victorious from a $30 million lawsuit filed by her former hairstylist who said she stole wig designs from him, shirked on a business deal and cheated him out of millions. A judge ruled that Minaj did nothing wrong, and the wigs in question are hers to do with as she pleases.

Back in February, TMZ  reported that Terrence Davidson was alleging that he designed the “fresh, hip and unique” wigs that helped Minaj establish her iconic image back in 2010. He claimed that he and the star had agreed to go into business together selling a the designs, but she backed out. He went on to say that she was now marketing the wigs that he created on her website, and she had even talked him out of taking a lucrative reality TV contract – telling him it would destroy their partnership.

Luckily for Minaj, though, the judge didn’t buy Davidson’s argument. TMZ reports that after looking at three of the styles – the Pink Upper Bun, the Fox Fur Wig and the Pink High Top – he decided there was nothing unique about colored wigs, and anyone has the right to make and sell them. He added that any agreement that may have been made regarding business was far too vague to be legally binding.
