Latest Manchester United news revealed that due to the influx of Spanish-speaking players in his team, Louis Van Gaal laid down a new rule which compels all his players to speak English by the end of the season.

Based on Manchester United news as reported by NBC Sports, Van Gaal is aiming for complete transparency among Manchester United players. A number of players tend to talk to each other in Spanish such as Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao. Although David de Gea and Juan Mata are already fluent in English, the Dutchman wanted his team to be comfortable with the language, to the point of sending some to English classes.

According to the Daily Mail, Falcao from Colombia can help his teammates learn and speak English faster, since he is already fluent in the language. Van Gaal was particularly impressed with the striker's English-speaking skills without any interpreter necessary. Antonio Valencia was required by the manager to take English lessons, even though he has resided in England forlast eight years. 

Van Gaal said, "You know already that all the Spanish players have lessons in English so we have started already more than two weeks. We are only two weeks in this country because we were in the USA and after that we had the international week. But I can speak Spanish so it is better to communicate sometimes on the pitch in Spanish. But they shall learn English within one year, I promise."

According to Van Gaal in Manchester United news, speaking the native tongue can be advantageous among teammates when establishing plays against opponents who do not understand the language. However, English-speaking teammates may not get involved in such strategies. The Old Trafford manager is also not one who tolerates cliques, which can happen, if team players do not speak the same language.
