Disney Sued By Peruvian Author Amy Gonzalez For $250 Million; Gonzalez Claims Disney's 'Frozen' Plagiarized Story From Her Autobiography 'Yearnings Of The Heart' [PHOTO]

Peruvian author Amy Gonzalez (who goes by the name Isabella Tanikumi) claims that Disney stole her life story in order to create the movie "Frozen." She thinks that filmmakers plagiarized from her autobiography "Yearnings of the Heart," and has now filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement for a whopping $250 million against Disney.

If this were true, Disney's highest grossing animated film of all time was not actually based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale "The Snow Queen," but rather on Gonzalez' 2010 autobiography. Hmm.

According to Amazon's synopsis, Gonzalez' autobiography is a "compelling, introspective account of the life of Isabella Tanikumi, who takes her readers on a journey through various phases of her remarkable life - from her family's survival during the devastating earthquake of 1970 in Huaraz, Peru, to the trials of overcoming the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic and untimely death of her beloved older sister Laura."

Fox News Latino reports that Gonzalez claims Disney plagiarized her life story in eight different ways. During her lawsuit at the District Court of New Jersey last week, Gonzalez stated, "I recently purchased and viewed your movie 'Frozen' with my daughter and was appalled at what I observed," conveying her shock and distress. She pointed out that her autobiography also deals with the story of two sisters, and that it also begins "at the base of snow covered mountains" where she lived with her sister Laura.

Gonzalez is most upset that Disney "copied" her sibling relationship. Gonzalez stated that both her and her sister had opposite hair colors, owned horses, and shared a deep love for one another. Furthermore, Gonzalez' sister also died in an accident - an accident where only the movie version of her character awakes.

And what about the movie's soundtrack hit, "Let It Go?" Gonzalez thinks that was taken from her autobiography, too. She commented, "Through various sources, I am aware that writers in the music industry have taken portions of my stories to develop songs for popular artists and these writers may have corroborated with the writers of 'Frozen.'"

So far, the public seems to think Gonzalez should just "let it go." What do you think of her claims?
