Chicago Bulls Roster: Defense Specialist Jimmy Butler Hopes To Remain As A Bull As October 31 Deadline Approaches

The Chicago Bulls roster can be described as 'complete' for the first time since His Airness left Windy City. With Rose leading the charge, new sharpshooters from the outside, and a twin-tower combination manning the paint, the Bulls will certainly play an inside and outside game.

However, in spite the offensive arsenal the Bulls have this season, Chicago is still first and foremost a defensive team.

Through the years, coach Tom Thibodeau has done a splendid work in keeping the winning tradition in Chicago despite losing their best offensive player in Rose a couple of seasons ago. During that stretch where Rose was under rehabilitation of his knees, the Bulls are still competing in the playoffs.

One of the guys who made that run possible is swingman Jimmy Butler, and as he approaches his contract year as a Bull, the 25-year-old player wants to stay.

"I want to be here," Butler said. "I think the Bulls want me here. So however long it takes, as long as we get it worked out. Basketball is my main focus, not really the contract situation."

Butler's agent, Happy Walters better come up with a agreeable contract for the Bulls management to provide a 2 or 3 year offer for Butler. Last season, Butler averaged career high's in points (13) and steals (1.9) during the regular season, which just shows how important he is for the franchise right now that the Bulls are chasing that elusive title.
