Will Tom Brady Leave The Patriots? Quarterback Uncomfortable With Personnel And Coaching Changes, Team Faces Mounting Criticism [PHOTO]

The Patriots have been an unstoppable team and football royalty since 2001 - is that about to change? After Tom Brady became the team's quarterback in 2001, the Patriots have been to the playoffs every year but two, and have racked up five trips to the Super Bowl and three championships. However, after the Chiefs beat the Patriots this past Monday night 41-14, gossips about New England's downfall have been going around.

According to the Boston Globe, the Brady-led offense during the first four games of 2014 didn't look good, and Brady's performance has put him in a tough spot facing mounting criticism and frustration as the team struggles to get the ball.

ESPN analyst Chris Mortensen stated, "Several players, coaches, and former players have rendered an unsettling picture that all does not look well with Tom Brady and the Patriots and there's a reason for it," suggesting that something is going on behind the scenes that the public does not yet know about.

Mortensen continued, "Sources say Brady is uncomfortable with the personnel and coaching changes, the consequences have lead to tensions between Brady and the coaching staff, with Brady's input into game plans, personnel packages, formations, pre-snap adjustments being significantly diminished.

Has the staff lost faith in Brady? Or is it simply the residue of shaky personnel decisions, including the undeniable fact that since 2002, the Patriots have used 11 draft picks on wide receivers and only two - Deion Branch and Julian Edelman - have made any impact."

Boomer Esiason, a former NFL quarterback and current television and radio analyst, stated, "Something has to break for [the Patriots.] They need some big plays quickly to regain the confidence and swagger that they once enjoyed and is required to be a top offense... I see some major frustration on the faces of Brady and his teammates."

For now, it seems like we'll just have wait and observe how Brady continues to work with his team. Brady has commented, "I'll try to go out there and play better and plays as best as I possibly can each week. Some weeks it looks better than others, some weeks it doesn't, but you've got to believe in your process and what you're doing... The mistakes we made last week, we've got to try to figure out a way to improve on those things so that we can come out and play a great game this week, because that's what it's going to take."
