American Horror Story Season 4 Premiere: The Freak Show Is About To Start; First Episode 'Supersized'

The four creepy teasers and trailers released for the premiere of "American Horror Story" season 4 did a good job at getting interests piqued about the series' latest installment, but creator Ryan Murphy has just offered a "Freak Show" tidbit to make fans rave all the more.

"American Horror Story" season 4 co-creator Murphy took to Twitter to announce that the premiere of the show will be "super-sized." His message read: "Excited to announce the AHS: Freakshow Premiere on October 8 will be a super-sized 90 minutes."

Murphy then added: "AHS Fans, you are also getting a big preivew, the main title and TWO cast documentaries this week. Happy October!"

The Los Angeles premiere of the show was held on October 5 at the TCL Chinese Theatre and was attended by its cast members as well as some actors from other Murphy and Brad Falchuck creations including Lea Michele from Glee. The singer-actress' attendance has fuelled rumors that she will make an appearance in the show. Michele previously admitted that she was interested in crossing over to the world of "AHS," but no confirmation of the possibility has been made.

The show proves to have the most diversity in terms of casting and Murphy shared details about the quest to finding the right people. In an interview with E! News, Murphy said that the casting is what he's "most proud of" in the show.

"We spent a long time looking for our special-ability cast. Looking for people who didn't have a voice or an opportunity," said Murphy. "Many of them wanted to be actors. Didn't have an opportunity. And many of them had never acted before, but I was so moved by their personal stories, like Rose [Siggins] who plays 'Legless Suzy.' So I would just call them up and I would say, 'Would you read this? Would you screen test?' Sometimes they would say no, but we never gave up and we kept going at them and we got this amazing cast, and I think, have given a voice to many people who don't have a voice. I'm very proud of them."

"American Horror Story" season 4 premieres on October 8 on FX.
