Singer Ha Dong Kyun shared his opinions about being a vocalist.

On October 8, Ha Dong Kyun held a music conference at the JBK convention hall in Seoul, introducing all of the songs in his new album and talking about the behind work he did for his album.

The reporter complimented Ha Dong Kyun saying, "You are a singer with whom the title 'vocalist' fits so well" and he replied, "Rhythm and beat are important in singing. But I personally think that focusing too much on those doesn't make that great of a music."

He continued, "I think it's music if you put your thoughts into it, whether that be in a melody or in talking. Even if I go on the stage, if I don't enjoy it, there's no point in it. You may think that it's a bit selfish of me from the point of view of an audience member but I think a vocalist is someone who is more genuine and loving about the music he does."

Ha Dong Kyun will be releasing his new album Word on October 14, for the first time in a year and 10 months.
