Ben Affleck, who will don the cowl in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." While he's had a stellar character that would be the envy of most, he's not exactly flawless. One of the harshest criticisms that comic book movie fans will always throw at him is the dismal "Daredevil" movie.

The 2003 adaptation of one of Marvel's beloved characters got a score of 45% on Rotten Tomatoes and is considered as one of the bad comic book movies in the early 2000s (there were a lot of them in that era).

Still it was a special movie for Ben Affleck on a personal note since he and wife Jennifer Garner established their relationship in that movie, as he states through Indie Wire:

"Look at 'Daredevil.' That's where I found my wife. We met on 'Pearl Harbor,' which people hate, but we fell in love on 'Daredevil.' By the way, she won most of the fights in the movie, which was a pretty good predictor of what would happen down the road-my wife, holding swords and beating the living shit out of me."

The sentiment was echoed during the 'Gone Girl' premiere as he assured the audience that "Batman V Superman" will not be another Daredevil.

"Indeed I have regrets about Daredevil. I have regrets about all the movies that I don't think were executed properly. ... Look, if I thought we were remaking Daredevil, I'd be out there picketing myself ... and that goes for other movies as well that I haven't been happy with. You know, I'm hard on myself and I have exacting standards and I want to do excellent work and I don't always succeed, but I think you have to start out with that drive."

The award-winning "Argo" director expressed faith in his co-workers:

"[Batman] was written by Chris Terrio, who wrote Argo, who's not a comic guy. And it's directed by Zach Snyder, who's a incredibly magical sort of visual stylist who's steeped in the comic world. And you have this sandwich of talents. I felt very confident about it. ... I thought it would be nice to make one of these movies really, really good."

Let's hope Affleck is right. March 25, 2016 will be the judgment date.
