Install Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 2; GT-N7100 Model Receives LiquidSmooth Custom ROM

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update via a custom ROM!

A new custom firmware based on Google's latest mobile operating system has been released, which gives Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners a chance to install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on their phablet.

Based on the specs list posted on GSM Arena, the latest and official update made available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. But thanks to the geniuses of custom ROM developers, a new firmware called the LiquidSmooth ROM based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat update was released for the 2012 phablet.

Particularly, users can only install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update on Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using the LiquidSmooth ROM on units bearing the model number GT-N7100.

According to a report on International Business Times, citing Team Android, LiquidSmooth ROM the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100  is a "light weight AOSP (Android Open Source Project) v4.4.4 KitKat OS version and is said to bring customisation options to boost device performance, new visual interface, shortcut for easy access to key apps and loads of personalisation options..."

But before proceeding with the installation process, there are some requirements and conditions to satisfy first.

Install the appropriate USB drivers of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 on the computer so the Android device will easily connect with the PC during the process.

Make sure that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 has 80 percent battery level or more before installing Android 4.4.4 KitKat update.

Make a backup of the data and settings stored on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using either ClockWorkMod or TWRP.
