Chicago Bulls Roster Slowly Learning To Use Its Weapons As Pre-Season Progresses, Could Be The Best Offensive Bulls Squad In Years

For the past weeks, we have read reports claiming that the Chicago Bulls roster for this upcoming season is probably the best it ever had in years. From what we've seen at the pre-season games, Chicago is slowly trying to address this new change in their lineup.

As primarily a defensive team for the past years under the leadership of coach Tom Thibodeau, the team now faces a new age as more scorers are in this Bulls team this coming season than they ever had probably since the Michael Jordan era.

Chicago's MVP Derrick Rose is coming back 'again' from his pair of knee injuries, and has looked better both during the FIBA World Cup in Spain and the Bulls' previous pre-season games.

While his performance is still not spectacular and equal to what we have seen him do during his MVP year, the Bulls are still surprisingly good in spite the mediocre performance.

Rookie Doug McDermott, whom the Bulls acquired during this year's NBA Draft in exchange for two first-round picks, has performed extremely well for Chicago, burying threes from deep, and being the explosive forward he has been advertised.

Another newcomer for Chicago is reigning MVP from the Euro league, Nikola Mirotic, who has also played big in some games for Chicago. Both McDermott and Mirotic have the facets in their respective games that would help stretch the floor for the Bulls, allowing its big men to operate freely inside.

Last year's standouts Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson also continue to play well both on offense and defense, and the good news for Chicago is neither of the two cares whether they are placed in the starting or secondary units.

The team's front court is as strong as ever with Gibson, Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol manning the paint. Gasol has been playing well, dominating the boards and racking up some blocks for Chicago, while Noah is still trying to get back to his usual game after his injury during the off-season.

The Bulls are now a great team to watch as almost everyone is focused on just one goal for this year - to reach the NBA Finals.
