Music-Entertainment-Overseas, Psy Syndrome! Why?

Psy's popularity after the release of his 6th album is blowing up. After the release of "Gangnam Style," he has ranked number 1 on YouTube and featured on various foreign websites and news such as CNN, WSJ, L.A Times and other countries tv programs. To a singer of 12 years, this seems to be the climax of his career.

Universal common code, 'Funny Guy'

Psy's trademark since his debut has always been his chubby figure, greasy hair and strange facial expressions. His body and his dance moves seem to be humorous to watch for many.

This 'funny guy' image seems to work overseas as well. Humor seems to be the universal code for Psy.

Psy's Story

The 12 years of Psy's music career has not always been easy. He has been caught up in a few situations, including his weed incident, that could have ruined his career. Luckily, he was able to make his way back to the top.

Although his new song, "Gangnam Style" has ranked number 1 on the charts currently, he has always been worried that he would not be able to succeed again as a singer due to his past. That is the main reason why he chose to go for humor in order to succeed again. His funny dance moves and songs are funny yet sad. It's funny to see his comic dance moves, but knowing that he is working twice as hard to not regain a bad image by doing humor can seem a bit sad.

The Energy Icon

Through his 12 years of his music career, he has not been able to continue his activities for more than 3 years. That is a big reason as to why he puts his all into his performances and concerts. His overflowing energy and charisma pour out onto the stage, giving him the nickname, 'king of concerts'.
