Trainee Kim Eunbi Leaves YG For Health Reasons - What Effect Will Her Departure Have On The Upcoming Girl Group?

Many fans will remember Kim Eunbi, as the participant on Mnet's Superstar K2. After her participation on the singing competition program, she trained in YG Entertainment with another Superstar K2 participant, Kang Seung Yoon. Although Kang Seung Yoon recently made his debut with the highly publicized group WINNER, YG's newest girl group was kept secret for a long time.

Kim Eunbi was one of the three girls, along with Kim Jisoo and Jenny Kim, who were supposed to debut as the new girl group for YG Entertainment this coming November. It would have been YG's second girl group after 2NE1, who debuted in 2009. However, recently it was revealed that Kim Eunbi would no longer be part of the group throwing their debut back into uncertainty.

It has been revealed that Kim Eunbi left YG Entertainment 6 months ago due to health issues, specifically pain due to a herniated disk, the agency reported in a recent statement"It is true (that she left)," a YG Entertainment rep stated. "It is regrettable that someone who had practiced hard and long to realise her dream had to leave. I think she had decided that promotional activities would be too stressful for her health conditions.

Along with revealing the details of Kim Eunbi's departure and health, YG released a statement regarding the new girl group in general. "It is true that we are in the final stages of album production," they said. "Even though we are not sure if we are able to make it for November, the debut will definitely be within this year."

The company also mentioned "the members have been trainees for 3 years," indicating that they don't want to keep the members waiting much longer.

The hours and energy that go into practicing for a debut or even a comeback is stressful to the artists. Recently, Girls Day revealed that during their "Darling" comeback they barely had any rest. Girl groups are always busy due to busy schedules and some even work such long hours that they barely have time to rest, ultimately resulting in fainting and hospitalization. Even before debuting on the stage, some trainees are left to give up their dream due to increased pain from their training.

Although, Kim Eunbi will not be promoting alongside the other two members, fans are still eagerly waiting in anticipation for the upcoming debut and hoping that no other injuries will arise.

In the meantime, fans can catch an early glimpse of Kim Jisoo who will be appearing in label mate Epik High's new music video "Spoiler" due out on October 21.
