The Nokia Lumia 1020 offers a 4.5 inch screen size offering a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels and a 334 ppi pixel density. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S5's screen size is larger to 5.1 inch screen with the same resolution to its opponent but offers a 432 ppi pixel density.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S5 offers a larger 16 mega pixel rear-facing camera and 2.1 mega pixels on the front. The S5 offers a lot of camera features to choose from like LED flash, voice activation, effects, night mode, self-timer, manual focus, phase detection and other.

However, the Lumia 1020 offers a larger 41MP rear-facing camera and a 1.2MP on the front. It features Xenon and LED flash, back-illuminated sensor, AF assist beam, manual focus and other features. Overall, in terms of camera features, both smartphones are quite identical.

Hardware

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is powered by Snapdragon S4 processor with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 225 GPU. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered by the latest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with the same RAM size and has an Adreno 330 GPU unit.

However, in terms of battery, the Samsung Galaxy S5 offers a larger battery capacity of 2800 mAh, while the Lumia 1020 has 2000 mAh only.
