Kim Soo Hyun Wins 'Asia's Best Actor' Award And Steps On The Red Carpet At 'TIFF'

Actor Kim Soo Hyun will be stepping on the red carpet at the 'Tokyo International Film Festival' this year.

On October 23, Kim Soo Hyun will be attending the 27th annual 'Tokyo International Film Festival'.

He will be receiving the 'Asia Best Actor' award for the special foreign drama category for the SBS drama, "My Love From The Star."

Kim Soo Hyun left for Japan on October 22 and will be attending the red carpet event that will be held on October 23.

Previously, he also won the daesang award at the '2014 Korea Drama Awards' for the drama, "My Love From The Star."

Also this past May, he won 3 awards at the 50th annual 'Baeksang Arts Awards' including the 'Male Rookie Actor' and 'Popularity' award for the movie, "Secretly, Greatly" and the 'Popularity Award' for the TV category with "My Love From The Star."

The Tokyo International Film Festival will be held from October 23 to October 31.

Kim Soo Hyun gained much popularity recently with his role as Do Min Joon in the SBS drama, "My Love From The Star."

This drama gained so much popularity worldwide that it also broadcasted overseas in 10 different countries.

There have also been several plagiarism issues with this drama as well. First, author Kang Kyung Ok filed a lawsuit for the drama plagiarizing her comic book that was released in 2008. The lawsuit was later dropped from Kang.

Indonesia network RCTI also created a remake drama without any legal publication rights. SBS stated that they were in the middle of talking about publication rights with a different Indonesian company when this other agency released the drama. They are currently discussing how to go about this situation.

There is also news that an American remake may be released in the future as well from ABC.
