Prometheus 2 Movie Release Date Spoilers: Rumors about the long-awaited Prometheus 2 seeing an evn longer wait are playing out. Ridley Scott recently confirmed that production issues have delayed the Prometheus 2 release date. Movie News Hound 20th Century Fox has it posted that Prometheus 2: Paradise is set to make landfall on screens in April 2016.

Noomi Rapace, the star of Prometheus 2, was interviewed by MTV about the Ridley Scott-directed Prometheus sequel. Noomi said her character, Elizabeth Shaw, will have a large impact in the sequel because Scott recently said Prometheus 2 will NOT feature Xenomorph.

Prometheus 2: Paradise writer Damon Lindelof told Breathecast.com "Space exploration in the future is going to evolve into this idea that it's not just about going out there and finding planets to build colonies. It also has this inherent idea that the further we go out, the more we learn about ourselves. The characters in this movie are preoccupied by the idea: what are our origins?"

Ridley Scott is finishing "The Martian." The director confirmed that scripts for both the sequels to Prometheus and Blade Runner are written and green lit. But Scott also said he has a lot to finish in the next few years and may get to the Blade Runner sequel before the Prometheus sequel, which originally had a projected release date of March 4th, 2016.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ridley Scott said the earlier drafts of the Bladerunner 2 script by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green were "written and it's damn good. Of course it involves Harrison, who is a survivor after all these years-despite the accident."

As far as the Prometheus 2 script, Scott said "I really enjoyed doing 'Prometheus'... You'll probably have to go with [Noomi Rapace's Elizabeth Shaw] and [Michael Fassbender's android David] - without his head. Find out how he gets his head back on!"

Ridley Scott is reportedly ready to direct the Prometheus sequel even with the current changes like new screenwriter Jake Paglen.
