Correia to Tate: She is looking for trouble and she found it

"I don't know why she put herself into this story," Correia told the press in Brazil, this week, pertaining to Miesha Tate who lately singled her out for a prospect match. UFC bantamweight contender Bethe Correia (9-0) has been exerting much effort in her fights, turning the heads of the people to her knowing that she deserves more than what she got in her career.

And so she believes that the two-time world title challenger Tate will totally give in with her trash talking.

"I think she saw all the attention I was receiving. Tate had two chances against Ronda and lost both twice. She saw that I'm closer to a title shot, so she wants to use that attention."

She added: "I hope she doesn't run away...I won't run away from the ground because I train a lot of jiu-jitsu and judo, and I believe in my skills, but I love to put my hand on someone's face, especially when someone challenges me. Tell her to find a better mouthpiece. I hope she comes here to brawl." (According to translation from Guilherme Cruz)

Correia, and her words, stood up in stating of being happy to take on "Takedown" Tate next.

"Tate does have good grappling, but she challenged me to a stand-up war," the undefeated fighter explained.

Even if that is the mood, the Brazilian slugger considers that the wrestling-based Tate made a fault in not just calling Correia out, but in particularly saying she wants a stand-up striking battle with her. "I don't run from a challenge. The whole world knows who I am," she said.

"Tate's looking for trouble and she found it. I will fight her if that's what the UFC wants, and I will beat her in a way that the whole world knows that Rousey has to be next."
